Private domain

What does a private domain do?

You will also have the free subdomain you chosed during the registration (yourforum.netBoards.org) but if you prefer to have your own top level domain (ie: myforum.com) we offer this voluntary upgrade.

To get a domain for your forum please follow this simple 3-step process.

1. Get the domain of your choice at any domain name registrar. We recommend www.GoDaddy.com for their easy interface and cheap prices. (If you already own a domain name you want to use for your forum you naturally don't have to do this step.)

2. If you haven't already done so, upgrade to "Private domain" at our upgrade page

3. At your domain registrar, set the nameservers for your domain to the following:

ns621.websitewelcome.com
ns622.websitewelcome.com

(For example, if you got your domain at the domain registrar Godaddy.com you simply log in there with your account, and in the domain manager you choose custom nameservers and enter our above nameservers.)

That's it! Your custom domain is now setup for your forum at netBoards.org.

Please allow up to 48 hours for the domain name to start pointing at your forum.
